About 1918. This one is all about those amazing pockets. I immediately thought how useful this would be when working in the garden. You could even make a couple of sets of pockets and just keep stuff in them.
Yes, there is no doubt that this skirt will make your hips look big.

what an interesting skirt! and i agree wholeheartedly with you about the pockets. it would be a nifty idea to have a couple of sets made up, and they would make one's hips appear quite erm... bounteous;)... probably why this type of skirt never quite caught on!

Yes, but back then one's hips were supposed to look big :-).
