I don't see any detail that particularly makes this good Hoover apron suitable for beauty shop work, except possibly the pockets, as pockets were by no means a required feature of aprons at this time. Miss A's "surplice" collar is nicely sporty. One imagines these made up in dusty rose, dutch blue, or eau de nil, with white collars and cuffs.
Would Madame like the marcel wave today?

I think what makes it good for a beuaty shop is the complete coverage it offers. It's both apron and uniform.
As for beauty shops, the double protection in front is good. That's what makes this style good for so many things.
It's a very useful item, I might sketch it out and make it up for myself for painting in the studio!
Nice double layer in front, makes a good artists smock too.
